Innovative Management Inspiring Neighborhoods
True Beginnings Innovative Management Inspiring Neighborhoods (IMIN) voter education initiative. This project focuses on empowering formerly incarcerated women by restoring their voting rights and educating them on the impact of their civic participation. This initiative is critical because so many people are not aware of their rights or the barriers that prevent them from reclaiming their rightful place in society. Voter education for this marginalized group is vital because affordable housing and renters’ rights, key issues that directly affect these women, are often shaped through public policy. In Nevada, the lack of affordable housing and discrimination against individuals with criminal records exacerbates cycles of poverty and recidivism, making voter engagement an essential step toward systemic change.

This project aims to equip formerly incarcerated women with the knowledge and tools they need to exercise their basic freedoms and ensure their voices are heard in shaping policies that impact their lives. True Beginnings aspires to uplift and empower leaders who aim to make a difference in their own lives as well as the communities they live in.
