E.G.O Project
Educated Guided Outcomes
The E.G.O. program, a key component of True Beginnings, is designed to equip formerly incarcerated women with essential employable skills such as computer literacy, resume writing, effective communication, contract literacy, and interviewing techniques. Recognizing the barriers these women face in securing stable employment, E.G.O. operates as a temporary staffing agency, allowing participants to polish their skills, enroll in higher education, and market themselves to potential employers.
Our program also emphasizes cultivating relationships with employers who prioritize Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in their hiring practices. By acting as liaisons, the E.G.O. Coordinator negotiates salaries, supplements incomes during probationary periods, and supports both employers and employees in building lasting, mutually beneficial relationships.

The Ex-Offender Toolkit, authored by our founder Ms. Moore, serves as a foundational resource for the E.G.O. program. This manual helps participants identify their strengths, understand their rights, and navigate the job search process with confidence. By offering mentorship, drug testing, and weekly check-ins, we ensure our clients are fully supported as they transition into the workforce.
